Gingerbread Cookies

Because we didn't have a full enough day with Logan's birthday party,
we headed over to a friend's house for their big holiday party this
evening. The boys passed out on the drive to the party, so they were a
little quiet and shy at first when we arrived, but opened up quick
soon after (the strawberries next to the chocolate fountain helped!).
;-)

At some point in the evening, they were set up with huge gingerbread
man "kits" and a Christmas movie classic on the TV (the teenage girls
at the party essentially babysitting). They were in heaven, as were
Jon and I since we got some time to socialize with other adults,
without the kids hanging all over us. :)

Now it's time for us all to pass out. What a day!

The face of surprise.

Angry Birds Space Game

The face of determination.

Happy 5th Birthday Logan!

I'll post more pics from the party later, but I'm happy to report, we
survived! Man, was it a madhouse for awhile tho.

The kids all seemed like they had a great time running around the
house, exploring the new toys. Logan was in 7th heaven directing all
of his friends around and showing them his pad. He loved it so I'm
calling it a success. ;-)

Whew!

Angry Birds!

We just set up for Logan's birthday party today. I'm enjoying the
(relatively) clean and empty house, before it's overtaken by about 14
kids (5 and under) this afternoon.

Wish us luck! ;-)

Happy December!

This year, I'm already feeling overwhelmed with the toys in the house, and the overindulgence in sweet and candies.  So, I decided to go super simple (and no surprise little toys each day) with our advent calendar this year.

The print outs give instructions to the boys:

Santa's beard is very bare.
On his chin, there is no hair.
So each day add a puff of white.
When they are all on, he'll come that night.

There is never a project in this house without some goofing off....

I think they get it from their Dad.  ;-)

The boys absolutely love it!  :)  Happy December and Christmas Countdown!
