Pooped!

The sign of a successful long weekend: all is quiet in the backseat, and I turn around to check on the kids....  :)

Park City, UT

We traveled to Park City to visit some friends over Memorial Day weekend and had such a nice time!! Jon had been before, but the boys hadn't - and I think it's safe to say we all left enjoying it so much that we started talking about when we could return!

Everywhere we turned, there were majestic views all around us!

We went on a couple of nice long walks, always enjoying the beautiful scenery.  The downtown area of Park City was super neat too!

Thanks Bob and Andy for such a fun visit - we can't wait to see you again!

The cone of shame

Poor Benji has had a tough time adjusting to a cone head today! He was neutered this morning and did just great. The surgery didn't even seem to bug him too much. But this big ol' plastic thing on his head has really freaked him out!! :)

Open House

This last week, Callum had his open house, and was thrilled to show us around his classroom and show us everything he's been working on this year.

Most impressive, to me, was his "yarn art" of an elephant. This thing took some amazing time and patience to make!!  Love it.

I also chuckle at his never ending crusade to acquire a hamster.  :)

Kids love art

Last weekend, I signed the boys up for an art event at Google! We dropped the boys off to spend a few hours doodling and having fun, while Jon and I snuck in a fun movie, during our time without kids! :)

RIP Odin

Gosh, another big event that I didn't blog about....

Sadly, Odin's health had been deteriorating, starting (about) early March. We had a few back and forth house visits with the vet, trying some last attempts to help relieve his pain and perhaps give him some extra time. But, in the end, it was his time - and we needed to let him go.

Jon wrote a nice tribute to him on FB, when he added Odin's collar to our wall (of, unfortunately, growing past-pets' collars):

15 years of life lived. 3 houses, a marriage, 1 championship, 2 kids, 4 cats, and 5 dogs as part of his long run. RIP Odin. We will miss you.

Under the Big Top

Camp Okizu held their 25th Annual Art Inspiring Gala - which we had the pleasure of attending, just before Spring Break. The decorations, and atmosphere in general, was amazing! We had so much fun (last pic is of my crazy hair after it took me about an hour to un-do!)  :)

Easter Sunday

For Easter, we spent the day hanging out with our old friends, the Cables, doing a bit of arts/crafts, egg dyeing, egg hunting, and video game playing!! We don't see them as much anymore (and, sadly, they're moving out of state soon!), but had a fabulous time catching up, as we always do! :)
