Walking the dogs

While the boys/dads continued on with their snowball fight, Jenn and I decided to take the dogs for a walk. There is snow piled everywhere which is just amazing. We also saw several houses that haven't been visited in awhile. This one was probably the best (in terms of trucks and trailers hidden by all the snow piled in their driveway!) we think. :)

Lots of snow to play with!

Here's a few more of our snowball fight in the driveway :)

Playing in the snow

I forgot to post more of our pics yesterday! After we got Logan's jacket out of the Jodoins' car, we had fun playing in the snow (mostly snowball fights of course!). :)

Snowed in

We had bought ski/boarding school tickets for the kids today - hoping we could drop them off and have some fun on the slopes, just us adults. But, Mother Nature had other plans for us today! ❄️❄️❄️

We all got up bright and early to start getting ready when I got an email saying Alpine was closed (and they were evaluating lift conditions for Squaw). Dang it!! Apparently they got 2.5' of new snow over the last 24 hours (16" overnight)!! 😱

When you looked out the window to our driveway, you could see our street hadn't been plowed yet and the snow was building up a nice tall berm that would be a pain to get through (if we tried to get out!)

So, I guess Plan B it is! 😂😂

Hair dryer to the rescue!

The Jodoin's car doors were frozen shut and we needed to free Logan's snow jacket for a fierce competitive snowball fight! 😂😂❄️👍🏼

What a day!

We've had such an adventure today! But before I post all the stories and pics, let me first share with you this gorgeous view.

I took this just now, while reclining in the living room of our cabin. It's my view when looking up (and back).

It's been snowing all day. Watching the snow fall (and listening to it while outside) is mesmerizing, peaceful and amazing. I love it. 😍

Ski Week!

This week is called "ski week" by the schools, and with all the rain we've been having, it means the mountains have been bombarded with snow!

We left a few hours ago but have already had a couple of stops for lunch and what not. I snapped these two pics while we were waiting in the car (Jon was getting a couple of towels at Target, in case Odin gets drenched).

We took the truck so we'd have more room to carry everything up the mountain - and because it'll be safer in the crazy snow. Odin has a comfy area to hang out behind me/beside Logan. And look at how big the boys are getting these days!

We're meeting the Jodoins in Tahoe and are looking forward to getting some time in on the slopes, and generally just hanging out and enjoying the trip!
