Real Shoes

I put Callum in real shoes today and it's like he's learning to walk all over again poor guy. He's lifting his feet and legs real high and/or tripping over the (presumably much heavier!) shoes...

They aren't stopping him from getting into things that he shouldn't though. ;-)

Missing Daddy

All three of us have been missing Daddy terribly. These two boys have both had issues at school this week, lashing out at other kids, which has been more out of character than usual. I think it's probably because our week has been off due to Jon being gone. :(

But the good news is, he's on an early flight home and we'll be seeing him very soon (thank god!!).

Loganism of the day

After calming down from a complete meltdown, Logan says to me, "My heart is all fixed. I'm your friend now."

Rocks

Lately, Logan has been obsessed with carrying rocks everywhere he goes. I'm not exactly sure where at school he finds them, but he collects a big stash in his pockets throughout the day and then brings them home to "surprise" me with.

Sicky

Callum has been fighting a minor head cold that got worse over the weekend. His eyes and ears started draining (at least the tubes are working?!?) so Jon took him in to see the doctor yesterday. Unfortunately he's got another infection so it's back to anti-biotics we go!

Meanwhile Logan woke up a few times last night due to nightmares. Ugh.

The biggest problem with all of this is Jon left early this morning for 7 days to lay around in paradise (Hawaii) while I do my best as the single working mom. Can't say I'm too happy with the situation.

A night off

My parents are babysitting so we could celebrate our friends Jarrod and Nathan's birthdays tonight. We went Go Kart Racing first, then grabbed a delicious dinner and are now sitting down to a movie to finish up the night.

Mom snapped this precious pic of Callum to wish us good night. ;-)
