NYE Party

We invited several families over for NYE yesterday - nothing fancy, mostly just an excuse to get together since we hadn't seen our friends in awhile. Then, about a week ago, Jon decided he wanted to have a "cake off" and asked everyone to bake and bring a cake for the party.

We had an amazing selection and no one made the same type, which was pretty cool!!  Mine is the one in the first pic - a Champagne cake with Gin buttercream frosting (and my attempt at a "bubbly" top!). I thought it was delicious! And I don't often like/eat cake. Several guests thought it was "quite boozy", so I guess I'm just hanging out with the wrong crowd!! Haha!! ;-)
