Cookies and royal icing
What started as a "Mom, can you help us make royal icing to put on Dad's pancakes?" turned into "let's make cookies too, make different colored icing and decorate them all!!"
Aiiieeeee! This is why I never do cookie decorating at the house! It took us forever and the kitchen is a powdery flour-y sugar-y mess.
But, the boys are on Cloud 9 and loved every minute of it. ;-)

Chomp, chomp, chomp!
Callum is an eating machine! I'm always surprised at how much he can put down!
Yesterday, we visited his fave sandwich shop (Ike's) for lunch.... and today, we swung by the Falafel Drive-In (no pic, so you'll just have to use your imagination!). ππ

Zane and baby Aidan
Zane and baby Aidan visited us for the 4th of July BBQ and swim party (as did Kai! But he didn't get in the pool and I didn't snap any other pics).
Anyway - here's some cute ones of the growing kiddo!! π

SJ Quakes vs LA Galaxy
On Saturday we attended the big SJ Earthquakes vs LA Galaxy game at Stanford. It was a lot of fun!! We met early with a bunch of friends and tailgated in the dusty parking lot, before heading to the game.
The game itself was pretty close and intense (ending in a tie, 3-3!) but they also had a lot of other entertainment, which the kids enjoyed. Skydivers came flying in to kick off the game, balloons and an artist painting a large canvas live during halftime, and fireworks after the game as our big finale.
We were all pooped by the time we got home but really had a fabulous time!

Happy 4th! πΊπΈπ₯
This week has been full of celebration and friends! Sunday, we had several different neighboring families over for a BBQ and Swim party (I was running around busy as all hell, so no pics to include). About 30 people showed up and we had a lot of fun and ate way too much food!
On Tuesday, Logan had a couple of his school friends over for a swim play date (with a couple siblings too) - a lot more relaxed and less chaotic, but just as fun.
Yesterday, we had ANOTHER big BBQ and swim party to celebrate the 4th with a bunch of our close family friends. Thanks to Jenn, I have some pics to share of the day - loads of swimming and eating and hanging out was had by all, and finishing the evening off with some popping noise makers on the front porch before everyone headed home.
Happy Birthday America!! πΊπΈππ₯π€©

Catching up!
I've been remiss at blogging lately! But I suppose that means our summer is going well :)
Callum and Logan went to different camps these last 2 weeks - which is a first for us (since I've always joined them up at the same location/camp in the past).
Callum really wanted to attend Panther's Camp - which is a sports based camp - and had an absolute blast! I'll post pics from that camp in a different post.
Logan did another week of tennis camp which he enjoyed, and then tried a new camp last week, located at Stanford. It was a HUGE camp - several being run at the same time - so loads of kids, on a big college campus, and he didn't know a soul. I was worried he wouldn't like it since many things about it were out of his comfort zone, but he finished the first day excited, happy, and telling me that he wanted to enroll in the overnight portion of the camp next year! :)
Logan lost a(nother) tooth. We also saw (and took one of Callum's friends since we had an extra ticket) Incredibles 2, which was great fun. And both boys got their hair cut - Callum getting half of his head shaved down pretty short this time - all in preparation for our upcoming summer trip! (We leave this Monday) :)
