The road to recovery

I have my own personal wait staff and bell! ;-) The other device I use to practice my breathing and help strengthen my ab muscles. Fun.

All went well today, my surgery was a bit over two hours. But it felt like 5 minutes for me. They had to remove my appendix (it was in bad shape), some cysts on my left ovary and endometriosis spots throughout. My doc sees a little in my uterus but can't treat unless I want a hysterectomy (which I don't want right now) so we'll have to keep an eye on it. It wasn't major just could potentially develop down the road.

I'm staying the night at the surgery center. Jon and I thought it would be best for me, and him, this first night. I've been up already, walking a lap in the post-op area, but I was super fatigued toward the end. Definitely feeling sore and tired (as expected) but everyone says I'm doing great so that's good.

Personally, I'm just glad I have this behind me and will be back to my normal life very soon! :)
