Due Date

Today is (was?) Callum's due date. He's nearly 3 weeks old, but he was supposed to come today. And let me say I am sooo glad he came as early as he did!

I had a tougher time with the pregnancy this go round, and although I've also had a tough time recovering from Callum's birth, I am SO GLAD to have my body back (well, except for the whole cow moo-moo-moo milk production factory thing going on).

Funny how life works out perfectly sometimes.

Anyhoo - we had Callum's 2 week check up today and he did great! His weight has really bounced back (yay!) - and he's now passed his birth weight, at 7 lbs, 14.5 oz. Because this was an "official" checkup, they also measured his head (35.5 cm) and length (20.5 in). He's growing and eating and pooping and crying and sleeping, just like a baby should. He had his 2nd Hep B booster shot as well, which he wasn't too happy about, but recovered pretty quickly, thank goodness. All in all, everything is grand. :)
