A long night

Returning to Parenting a Newborn land, I've noticed many more of our texts now revolve around poop and sleep updates.

Last night, Baby Callum became extremely fussy. Inconsolable. Screaming in pain. We have no idea why - it is SO. UNLIKE. HIM. :( Our best guess was he had some bad gas and constipation - since he hadn't pooped all day/night. It made for a verrrrry long night. He slept about 3 hours on my chest, but other than that, he was literally awake and crying most of the night.

It was awful. For us. And for him. :(

Jon went out this morning to get some Mylicon and Culturelle to help with his stomach. Whether it helped or not, I'm not sure, but he finally did poop this morning (news for celebration, ala text to Jon) and then napped about 4 hours which was GREAT since it meant I was able to sneak in an hour nap in there too. He had another decent poop in the afternoon and has been fairly good most of the evening (although, his fussiness is starting to come out again so I'm a little worried that we may not be totally in the clear yet).

I'm praying we get our easy going happy mellow baby back very soon. For his sake, and ours. *yawn*
